The student in this video definitely prepared before hand for her presentation. This included the preparation (and support) that her teacher gave her and her classmates. She not only used note cards to help her but she also understood her topic and artifacts, which also helped her answer the panel's "hard questions". -Eloisa Garcia P.4

This video was very informative when it came to content of how much this student knew about the material, it gave the viewers the chance to notice how much hard work and time in the presentation also to let students know they are not alone

The student was really dedicated to her work. She had done a very good job since the judges really liked her work. I think that she's really ready for college. She is well prepared and she has a big goal.

This student was well prepared for the project and had brought note cards to help her out. She did an outstanding speech. She answered the panels tough questions with her knowledge and some help with the note cards. She did not digress nor stop talking during the presentation. She is very determined towards her work and will go far in life.

It seemed like this student was well prepared for her presentation but nervous because she kept stuttering at times.

Senior year expects students to be prepared not only with a challenge, but also real life situations. The student presenting her project to the panelists, provides supportive information and pays close attention to the questions they ask her which are connected to her topic. This video helps students understand the strategy of opening the topic, to feeling confident about the words spoken.

The student knew what she was talking about and was ready to present. She had her information and when she read from her note cards she still looked up at her audience. The student had confidence and was not that much nervously moving around.

The student that was in the video was ready to present. She was knew what to say for each artifact she chose. She was prepared well because she only used her cards to say why she is ready for college.

The inspiration here for us is that even though it was difficult, she was dedicated and retained perseverance.

I think that this is a really effective tool for making sure that students are educated. This is a fantastic learning experience because the panel is not only English teachers, but all the other teachers are involved to make sure critical thinking and analytic skills are present in each senior. Great video! (Kristine Cueto, Period 4)

The student, Yvonne, is very well prepared and well-spoken throughout her presentation. It is quite obvious that she practiced and truly researched her topic in a deep way. She seems to truly know what she's talking about. Although there may be a few mistakes such a stuttering, her overall presentation was very professional and well done. She even stated that she was nervous but still continued to do her best and work her hardest. This is important for all high school seniors, especially those interested in doing a senior project, so they know how to present in a professional way. But not only does her presentation and story show the goal for a senior project presentation, it also shows a good goal for presenting in real life, both in and out of college.

213The video really put the senior project into perspective and shows how a task can be accomplish with help from a mentor and choosing an interesting topic for the speaker. Also Yvonne was able to give her hour and twenty minute presentation because she was prepared and already studied the information thoroughly.

Although she was a bit nervous she was very professional and well prepared. It's obvious that she did some serious research because it seemed like she really knew what she was talking about. -Katherine Gussman, Period 4.

In my opinion and most can agree that the senior project is a lot simpler than the one in the video which involves more time and hard work but Yvonne shows that she actually put more than a bit of time into it. I feel it has to do with a different sense of accomplishment and wanting to get your point across, showing that you really know what you are talking about because you put interest understanding the subject which allows others to access to the information.

I thought the student was detailed, but one of the judges wanted her to elaborate more. It should encourage all of us to be as detailed as possible and break down everything. I noticed her stuttering and reading of her note cards,so I suggest we all use the note cards to remember our points not read off of it. I loved her attitude. It sparked excitement and showed her enthusiasm for her goals. I do not know how she spent an hour speaking and four years preparing. I now notice the difficulty level compared to our senior project. Yvonne proved how well we need to research for our topics. - Azniv

Even though this defense project and the senior project may seem very similar, or quite different depending on each person's own opinion, I personally believe that they both have one thing in common. Both of these projects determine whether a student can graduate or not. I do not think that a panel of accessors or judges who may not know the student and his or her work habits and personality can decide whether he or she is ready to graduate. I love the idea of both of these projects, but I feel that the weight and pressure that they add to an already stressful year is a bit too much.

The senior project presented at Hollywood high school is less sophisticate than what is presented in this video. However, I would like to state that with all the classes that students take during the school year it would be difficult to complete the task. The senior project is a nice experience for students because it could compare to a job interview.

I agree that the senior project is a breeze compared to this. However most people will agree that both take dedication and hard work. This video helped put the senior project in perspective on how I am expected to present it. I really enjoyed the video.

The senior project will be a lot easier compared to what the student achieved in this video. She seemed well prepped and was ready for any question they had for her.

She was well prepared. She sounded confident and sophisticated. Ours is not as hard and difficult but I gives me an idea. I enjoyed watching the video.

The Senior Project is nothing compared to this. She was confident and assertive.

This video demonstrates that we need to be prepared for our senior senior and that we should feel confident in ourselves

I agree that the senior project is a breeze compare to this. However for students who suffer from stage fright tend to find the senior project pretty hard.

Compared to what this girl did the senior project is nothing . The senior project is a cake walk compared to this . I just hope that I am as prepared as she was when I do my senior project .

The senior project is nothing compared to this. Although this project seems harder the girl still made it seem easy and fun!
